Education & Certification
Dr. P. Roopa’s medical journey is built on a solid academic foundation. After completing her schooling at St. Joseph and St. Anne’s in Chennapatna. She was awarded the National Merit Scholarship for her exceptional academic performance in 10th grade. She pursued intermediate studies at Government College, Chennapatna.
She earned her MBBS from Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Medical College, Bangalore, and a DNB in Radiodiagnosis from Care Hospitals, Hyderabad, establishing her expertise in diagnostic radiology. In 2024, she further enhanced her leadership skills with an AMPH certification from ISB, Hyderabad.

Doctors from the Preeti Urology & Kidney Hospital, under the aegis of Dr V Chandra Mohan, performed a complex procedure to remove kidney stones from a 4-month-old baby boy, the world’s youngest patient to undergo such a procedure.

156 Kidney Stones Extracted from a 50 Year Old Patient
Urologists at Preeti Kidney Hospitals, have removed 156 kidney stones by performing a laparoscopy or keyhole surgery from a 50-year-old patient, a school teacher from Hubli, Karnataka. The patient was admitted to the hospital with severe abdominal pain & tests revealed the presence of a large cluster.
Robotic Surgery Performed Successfully on One Year Old Infant
A one-year-old child from Bidar, Karnataka has set a record as the youngest individual in India to have undergone a robotic surgery. Urologists at Preeti Kidney Hospitals, Hyderabad, performed a pyeloplasty on the infant using the SSI Mantra, a Made in India surgical robot.

Dr. P. Roopa has nurtured a lifelong passion for the arts, particularly singing and dancing. Her journey in classical dance began in 3rd grade with Bharatanatyam, which she pursued until 9th grade. Driven by her love for the art and a quest for learning, she is now exploring Kuchipudi, another revered classical dance form.
A versatile singer, Dr. Roopa has trained in classical music. She frequently performs at events and shares her talent on her dedicated YouTube channel, where she sings devotional songs.
